Pridelands interpretive signage

"The signage is an integral element of the Pridelands' experience. The Pridelands' exhibit transports you from the everyday urban world of Auckland to an African world of wonder; vegetation, animals, viewing platforms, shelters, barriers. Our goal is to inform you about animals and their environment, and perhaps even more importantly to move you to care for them. I believe the signage, like the complex as a whole, communicates both intellectually and emotionally, the messages we want to convey." Laura Mumaw, Director.

In 1998 the Pridelands' signage was awarded New Zealand's most acclaimed design award, 'The Stringer'.
