Product design

Three ranges of bottles was developed for Ecostore's home cleaning, body and baby care products. Collaborating with Special Group (label design) the packaging needed to reflect Ecostore's brand attributes. Excessive packaging and over styling were not an option. Improved ergonomics as well as two distinctive looks to differentiate the ranges were required. A traditional bottle silhouette with soft curves was used for the bodycare whereas the home cleaning range uses robust forms with soft curves to the hand and hard facets on the dispensing edge. The project was identified in an NZTE, Better by Design assessment as an opportunity to enhance competitive advantage and greater brand loyalty for Ecostore in domestic and export markets.
